What has been your favorite tripod for time lapses?

I am looking for a set of tripod legs that are sturdy enough hold a Nikon D80 and a 70-300mm lens for under $200. The head doesn’t have to be included because I can buy it after.

Any Manfrotto tripod, at the recent Focus on Image seminar two of my friends bought a Manfrotto 190XPRO plus a 488-RC2 ball head for £122.00, that’s the only tripod they will ever need to buy. Buy quality – buy once.
