im looking for a DSLR camera, but have no idea where to start?

ive been into photography for a while and have decided to buy a DSLR camera… my only problem is i have no idea which one to buy .. i would be using it just for basically documenting experiences, nothing professional or anything. Im an amateur, any ideas on which camera to buy?

You cannot go astray if you buy an entry level DSLR and standard zoom lens. This means spend as little as you have to so that later as you get into it, you can afford a second or third lens.

The Nikon D40 (if you can still find one) would be an excellent choice. Great bang for the buck and a huge inventory of lenses you may later want to explore.
