Epson WorkForce 1100 – Wide Format Color Inkjet Printer
For those who require color printing in ledger, tablet, or wide format, why not increase your print speed by as much as double over other devices with a wide color inkjet printer like the Epson WorkForce 1100? This incredibly unique printing machine is intended to produce almost poster sized, full color material at high resolution, for a unique product that standard color printers can’t achieve.
With the ability to print on huge paper up to 13 in x 19 in, not only ledger and tablet sized documents and posters can be printed, but even bigger super wide media as well. While overall cost would make usage of the Epson WorkForce 1100 as a standard impractical, it targets a special niche market perfectly, combining the speed of HP inkjet printing with the quality and aesthetic appeal of wide format paper.
Utilizing five individual ink cartridges, including the three primary pigment colors (magenta, cyan, and yellow) and two black ink cartridges, bright, crisp color imagery makes your giant format output sparkle. With HP’s specialized color ink, the Epson WorkForce 1100 prints workloads that are not only smudge resistant, but fade, and even water resistant as well.
Epson advertises its extra reliable paper feeding technology, which ensures that both time, and money, will not be wasted on destroyed, full page color projects that can sap measurable amounts of ink in a single pass. Standard print cartridges are available, and high capacity ink cartridges can be purchased as well for users who frequently print massive imagery.
While the Epson WorkForce 1100 does not have a built in duplexor, manual duplexing software included with the package assists users in executing a manual, two sided print and, with full color, poster sized imagery possible, double sided prints can create a unique look and feel. The WorkForce 1100 also utilizes Epson technology to reduce energy usage by as much as 70% under competing wide format color printers, and its Energy Star approval rating means that, even in standby mode, it will help cut costs on energy consumption.
DURABrite Ultra pigment ink ensures that your valuable work will not only be protected, but is highlighter friendly as well, and, due to UV light resistance, can last up to 105 years. The Epson WorkForce 1100′s print speeds, while seemingly limited when compared to smaller printers, is actually quite fast at 13 pages per minute for black prints, and up to 5.5 pages per minute for full color.
These listed print speeds are calculated for fractional paper coverage, however, and full page prints in either monochrome or color will take much longer to execute. As is expected, the Epson WorkForce 1100 is incredibly large compared to other desktop devices, but it also prints in incredibly high resolution of 5760 x 1440 dots per inch. With print quality this high, even giant photographs could be printed in full, lab quality. Selectable droplet sizes as small as 3 picoliters also ensure maximum visual appeal and clarity of charts, pictures, and other media, in full, living color.
