Seeing double image with binoculars?
I got my Celestron Skymaster 15×70 for Xmas but I am seeing double images. This is my first personal skywatching device so maybe I’m new at this? I only see double images when I look with both eyes at once. One at a time and everything is single. I have a tripod so I’m able to get everything steady and it’s all doubled. I did a google search and see this issue is not unheard of with these pair, any advice? My mom got them from amazon but they also gave a “lifetime warranty” through Celestron?
I ask because I wear glasses and I am as blind as a bat without them. I have a stigmatism also.
Yup, out of collimation. Contact Celestron Customer service or the the store you bought them from to get them repaired or replaced.
Bummer! But I had the same happen to me as well (but I have no one to blame, I dropped them, d’oh).
