Camcorder Tripod: which one!!?
Hello guys, I am about to buy a tripod for my camcorder (Sony HDR-XR155E). What I want is a good height (approx. 165-170 cm) and ability of panning and tilting. Of course I do want something in cheaper. So, what do you recommend?
I myself have searched online and found couple of tripods those I could go for:

Hi Mahdy. Of the four you’ve listed only the Primax 190 seems to meet your own requirements. the Manfrotto and the Sony don’t reach the height you want and the Nanomax 290 only comes close at 162cm max.
Both the Primax and Nanomax have three-way heads so meet your requirement for pan and tilt.
The Nanomax has a minimum neight of 31cm as opposed to the 61cm of the Primax. Would this be of value to you in your project? Is the 162cm against the 170cm that important?

Just to keep you confused though – If you can stretch the budget a wee bit further then have a look at http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/76227/show.html – the tripod allows the centre column to hinge 180 degrees and the three-way head has seperate levers for pan and tilt so you get some very smooth action tracking. You can also get the head down to floor level so you can be shooting from as low as 8 – 10cm
