Pocket Binocular

Pocket Binocular
Why are some hunter’s camouflage crazy?

Let be more specific with this Q. I went hunting early the other morning and the guy with me had every single thing camouflaged. I mean his lighter, flashlight, binoculars, pocket knife…everything! We get in the boat before daylight and he can’t find his camo flashlight he set on the bank, then near our duck blind he looses his camo lighter and to top off his day the strap on his binoculars breaks and we spend a ½ hour looking for it on the bank of the river.

So please explain to me why other people don’t buy bright orange small items so they don’t get lost, as I do? Why carry camo everything? I don’t think a bright orange pocket knife will spook the game do you? I mean there are orange camo to break a pattern up……..

Here in Virginia we have a minimum of 100 square inches of blaze orange that must be worn while firearm hunting. That’s a ball cap in over all size. I have seen hunters with full fledged ghillie suits wearing camo under it! Everything camo’d, lighters, bino’s, straps, suspenders, socks, face paint, the whole 9 yards. Where’s the 100 square inches of orange? No where to be seen. I have yet to figure out why anyone wears a ghillie suit to hunt, all I can reckon is they’re some kinda para-military wannabe’s. I’ve hunted for years with a blaze orange cap, duck cloth jacket with flannel lining and dickies pants and boots, never saw a need to dress up like G.I Joe.
