Nikon Monarch
Which rifle would you suggest?
I am looking for an all around great gun for hunting deer, elk, and bear as well as shooting at the range. I have been thinking about either a weatherby .338-378 magnum, weatherby .340 magnum, or a Remington XCRII .300 Remington Ultra Magnum. Which gun would you suggest I purchase? I am putting a nikon monarch 4X16X50 SF scope on it. Any advise would help, as well as other caliber suggestions 
I think you are going the overkill route. For anything on 2 or 4 legs in North America a well placed .308 is ample.
That opens up lots of choice. Weatherby and Remington both make excellent rifles in this calibre and I would not criticise you if you bought either. My choice would be the Ruger M77 Mk2. great accuracy, a sensible price, and your chosen scope is an easy fit.
Did I forget to mention that .308 ammo is cheap to the point that you can afford to go to the range and practise as well.
