what type of prescription lens should i get?

my degree is roughly between 3.00 to about 4.00 for both sides. should i get multi coated hi index lens? and are hi index lens really necessary for my degree?
and what material is the best for the prescription lens?

Hi index isn’t really “necessary” but would sure look a lot nicer.

If you want them thin and light, then you should go for the 1.61 ( sometimes called 1.60 )

You didn’t put the + or – sign in front, but either way , a 4.00 starts getting pretty thick otherwise.

Multi coat is always nice too, for cutting down on reflections, as well as a much nicer appearance.

If you get the 1.61…it is Hi-Index…you don’t have to choose the material…it is Hi-index plastic lenses.
