why can’t I close one eye without the other one closing as well.?
Does any one know why this is and is there any way to practice so I can close just one eye while the other stays open? The reason why it is a big deal is because my profession requires me to look through small holes like a monocular microscope but I can’t see through the hole unless I close the other eye. Sure I can manually close the other eye but I need both my hands free. This has been screwing with me for over a year now. I am forced to wear an eye patch and it sucks. I need help!
Closing one eye whenever you look through a microscope will just make the muscles around your eye tired…. so trying to learn how to wink is probably not the most productive way to approach this.
Best way is probabably forget about winking and practice keeping both eyes open when looking through the microscope. Try to ignore the image you don’t want…it takes a bunch of practice. I need to do it all the time when testing people’s eyes and it took a while to get used to when I first started.
