What cord do i need to buy to connect my macbook to a tv?

I have a new aluminum 13 inch macbook. All I know is that is has a mini displayport.

It really depends on what type of TV you’re talking about.

If it’s an HDTV, it probably has HDMI. This would be the best solution:

If you’re talking about a standard-definition CRT, you’re probably going to need to go to composite video or s-video. You’d need to get to VGA first, then convert from VGA to composite or s-video:

Note that if you’re going to a standard-definition TV, the picture may seem fuzzy because the resolution will have to be reduced.
