Lock Joint
I have to replace knee joint next week which joint is best?DePuy Tri-Lock® Titanium OR ZimmerLPS Mobjle?
The Depuy is the type that allows slight swivel motion in the knee joint isn’t it? They are now owned by Johnson & Johnson in the US. The other type only bends straight at the knee. My spouse has two of the Depuy’s and is very happy with them because your natural knee joint has a bit of swivel capacity and the Depuy most accurately duplicates this part of a knee’s range of motion. My wife’s Dr is the head of orthopedics at a large teaching hospital and he said he definitely prefers the Depuy for the reasons I mentioned above. The Depuy is a bit more expensive but if you are going to have to live with an artificial joint for twenty years then a few dollars in cost one way or another is not important. Good luck with your surgery.
