Crosshair Telescope
Telescope problem, HELP!?
I have a 6 inch reflector telescope (starhopper) and when I look at mars it is just a bright dot, just like any other star, but when I try to zoom in, I get crosshair like image, just on mars nowhere else. The crosshair is from the top of the inside of my telescope. I thought I collimated it right but dunno??? HELP? Any suggestions will do!
Also when I zoom in heaps I get a reflection of my eye with the crosshairs in front of it

You’re not seeing your eye; you’re seeing the out-of-focus diffraction pattern of Mars. You need to refocus every time you change eyepieces; Mars should appear as a tiny disk in any eyepiece.
