Can I connect an IPod to my camcorder/camera and transfer video/photos?

Can I connect an IPod to my camcorder/camera and transfer video/photos? If so, would I need to buy any extra accessories to transfer the files?
Are there any other portable media players that can do this?

well, i’m not sure if itunes work with trnasferring the files. i use xilisoft instead for the transfer, it’s way better and it doesnt mess up the music. hope this helps.
