Why is my 15 year old cat losing hair on here back legs, back and base of tail?
She’s eating , sleeping , running around and very happy otherwise! She’s a house cat really. Being long haired she does pick up fleas she is groomed and we de-flea her regularly with frontline. Nothing in her life seems to be different !
sounds like allergies (allergic dermatitis) … take her to the vet and he will likely give her a steroid shot and tips on changing her food or keeping her away from other possible allergens … yes, she can develop an allergy to the same food she has been eating for 10 years – humans do it all the time, too …
